Who we are

Round Box Foods is in its fourth year of operations, located in Lethbridge, Alberta. We craft our gourmet Dessert Sauces in small batches and have a separate, provincially inspected facility. Kathy is involved in all steps of production and runs the day-to-day operations of the business.

Kathy transitioned from her previous career to full-time at Round Box Foods in summer of 2024. The kitchen is her home, her happy place: she values knowing what's in the food she eats, and in the food she serves. She believes that good food takes time, and she takes the time to create delicious syrups from simple (and few) ingredients.

We use simple ingredients like sugar, butter, fruits and berries. We don’t use emulsifiers or thickeners and rely on sugars, pectin, and temperature to produce our dessert sauces.

Simple indulgence means enjoying, really enjoying, life moments and food moments That’s why our Sauces lead with flavour.

Our values

We use glass bottles that are reusable and recyclable. We’ve chosen labels that are drip resistant and easy peel with no sticky residue left on the bottle to make it easier for you to reuse or recycle.

We support local: to us that means we begin in our community, our region, our province, our country. We recognize that we need good neighbours, and that’s where we source some of our packaging, our cocoa, and our spices.

Our journey with Round Box Foods began in 2022, beginning with our facility fit-out, product development, product consistency, and product testing.

2023 and 2024 brought us to Farmers’ Markets, craft and gift shows and to our first retail locations.

In 2025, we committed to many markets, expanded into retail locations, and developed our fundraising program.

Currently, we boast three regular flavours and two seasonal delights. Our products are available in many retail locations throughout Alberta, through e-commerce at www.roundboxfoods.ca and through our Fundraising Program. And we’ll still be at select markets and gift shows throughout the season.

We are proud to be Made in Alberta.

We use quality ingredients, including beet sugar in all of our sauces, grown and processed right here in Southern Alberta. Our saskatoon berries have their roots here, too.

Our dairy products come from Canadian cows.

We source Cocoa, Spices, and some of our packaging outside of Canada.

Our Sauce production happens in Lethbridge, Alberta.
